This Privacy Policy describes how Lexi ("we," "our," or "the App") handles your information. Your privacy is a priority, and we are committed to protecting the data of our users.
1. Data Collection and Usage
We believe in minimal data collection to provide a personalized learning experience.
- Personal Information: We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, home address, or phone number.
- App Settings & Progress: To provide the "Linguistic X-Ray" and adaptive roadmap, we store your language selections (Native and Target languages) and your CEFR level progress locally on your device using the Isar database.
- Device Information: We may collect non-identifying technical data (e.g., device model, OS version) to ensure app performance and stability.
2. Data Storage and Third-Party Services
- Local Storage: Your vocabulary progress and calibration results are stored locally on your device. This data is not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly opt-in to a cloud backup service in the future.
- Firebase: We use Google Firebase to deliver core app content, such as the initial word library synchronization. Firebase may collect certain diagnostic information as part of its standard operations.
3. Privacy for Children
Lexi is designed for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
4. Your Rights and Choices
- Data Deletion: Since most data is stored locally, you can delete your progress at any time by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App from your device.
- Tracking: We respect "Ask App Not to Track" requests. We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for targeted advertising.
5. Compliance with Apple’s Rules
This policy is designed to meet Apple’s App Store requirements regarding transparency and user control over data. We ensure that:
- Data collection is limited to what is necessary for app functionality.
- Users are informed of any third-party data sharing (minimal diagnostic data only).
