At SleepMate, we believe that your sleep and your voice are strictly private. Our application is designed with a Privacy-by-Design philosophy: we process everything on your device, and we never collect, store, or transmit your personal data to any external servers.

1. 100% On-Device & Zero-Cloud Processing

SleepMate operates as a standalone utility.

• No Cloud: We do not use cloud servers for analysis or storage.
• No Accounts: You are not required to create an account or provide any personal identification to use the app.
• Offline Functionality: The app is fully functional in Airplane Mode, proving that no data is transmitted externally.

2. Microphone Data & The Smart Curator

The app requires microphone access to analyze snoring patterns.

• Transient RAM Analysis: Audio is processed in 10-second rolling buffers inside your device's temporary memory (RAM). If no snoring is detected, this data is instantly overwritten and never written to disk.
• Smart Evidence Curator: If you enable "Evidence Mode," the app saves short audio clips of detected snoring. To protect your storage, the app uses a "Loudest Wins" logic: it only keeps the most significant clips per hour, replacing quieter ones with louder ones to ensure you only see the most important evidence.
• Speech Privacy: Our algorithm is designed to identify and ignore human speech. We do not record conversations.

3. Professional Analytics & Sleep Score

• Local Data Logging: Numerical data (decibels, timestamps) used for your professional graphs and Sleep Score are stored locally in a private database on your device.
• Mathematical Scoring: Your Sleep Score is calculated locally using a weighted formula based on intensity, frequency, and continuity of snoring events.

4. User-Led Data Management

You have total control over your data:

• Manual Purge: We provide "Delete All for this Day" and "Wipe Entire Library" features.
• Safety Lock: Every deletion requires a manual confirmation. Since there is no cloud backup, once you delete a record, it is permanently erased from your device.

5. Professional Report Export
